With 26 years of experience working with children, I am passionate about making the children’s days at nursery fun, educational and most importantly nurturing. I aim to fully utilise my knowledge and experience, along with my own ethos that family is at the heart of the nursery, to ensure that the children at Learning Curve make memories that last a lifetime.

Just one of my recent projects was the introduction of sports development officers at each of the nursery sites. This involved careful supervision, planning and feedback from staff, parents and children into what they enjoyed. Alongside this I worked alongside the sports coaches and managers to ensure all health and safety aspects were thought about. This then expanded to us planning sports sessions out in the community, where the children could experience a sense of freedom. One thing that my colleagues often say about me is that I am an innovator and I am often questioned how I come up with new ideas. Ideas for nursery often pop into my head at the most inconvenient times and I have learnt to carry a note pad and pen with me. Some of the craziest of ideas have become just normal every day activities at the nurseries and provide the children with those special moments at our settings. From rides on the electric bikes, to trips out on the bus to Blackpool Tower, Sealife Centre, Circus, Local Parks, Forests and The Grundy Art Gallery. Learning Curve aim to raise the bar for early years provision and it truly is a great place for children to grow.
