I have worked in Early Years for the last 14 years growing from an Early Years Practitioner to Manager and now Senior Manager. My passion in Early Years is to ensure that all children and their families feel happy, secure and welcome to enable them to have a fantastic time during their early years. I enjoy reading and gaining more knowledge in all areas of Early Years however I specifically enjoy gaining more experience on speech and language and physical development.
My last project during my Masters Degree was looking at a buddy system within the company to ensure new staff feel welcomed and have someone to talk to and ask questions to. Starting a new work place can be daunting and having that friendly person to talk to and share your lunch with can make a big difference.
I am currently about to start my final project on staff wellbeing and look at new systems of supporting staff and their well being. This project has come following lockdown due to COVID-19. Developing everyone’s understanding of mental and physical health and what it entails will support all staff and their development.
