Clifton Lodge Newsletter – Spring Term 2020

Welcome back everyone, we hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and New Year and are ready for an action-packed Spring Term. This term we are embedding our love of stories through a variety of ways. We will explore new stories and authors with the children and each room will be creating their very own handmade book. If any parent/ carer has any ideas, please share them with the staff.
We are also commencing our Learning Curve ‘It’s a small World’ Competition, this will be judged week commencing Monday 30th March 2020. Each nursery has been allocated a country to research- We are Egypt. The competition is made up of three tasks- completing art work, sharing experiences on social media and taking part in a music and dance performance, all linked to Egypt. During this competition we want to provide children with as many different experiences such as Egyptian food, the history of the Sphinx, Egyptian dance. If any parents/ carers are creative, have links to a museum/ historian, know of any dance schools in the area or have any drama background and want to get involved please let us know #teamclifton.

Christmas Story Night

Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Story night, yet again it was a great success – we will be planning another for this year.

Tapestry

Any parents having trouble logging into Tapestry please speak to Michelle in the office. Tapestry is an invaluable tool that both parents and staff can use to show the progression and development of children. It is also a fantastic way to keep up to date with nursery life.
