It’s a sad time of year where we have to say goodbye to all our pre-school graduates. All the staff at Butterfly Lodge would like to wish all our graduates a big good luck ready for big school. Over the past years we have made some wonderful memories that we will never forget. Don’t forget to come and visit as we would love to see you in your new school uniform. Also you can still get updates through our nursery Facebook page and our website for our nursery events such as our summer and Christmas fairs. Goodbye and good luck class 2018.
We have now teamed up with Tesco for our nursery uniform. If you would like to purchase nursery uniform, please go to this link- https://www.tesco.com/direct/butterfly-lodge/25236.school. There is a range of pre-school supplies you can purchase from nursery t-shirts, jumpers, cardigans and nursery bags all with our nursery logo on. Nursery uniform is not compulsory, but we do find that many chil-dren enjoy wearing the uniform as it gives them a sense of belonging and pride, and they are able to wear the same as their friends. Wearing a uniform also helps to protect the children’s own clothes from messy play and helps them to prepare for wearing a compulsory uniform when they transition to primary school.
Welcome to Melissa and Kaci
We would like to welcome Melissa and Kaci to the Butterfly Lodge team. Kaci is our new nursery modern apprentice, Kaci is very enthusiastic and eager to learn. Such a great addition to our outstanding team. We would like to introduce Melissa, who will be based within our pre-school, Melissa is moving from our sister nursery Clifton Lodge, Melissa has reams of experience and knowledge.
Over the next month there will be a large group of children from each room transitioning to the next room. At Butterfly Lodge we want to make sure these transitions are smooth as possible for both children and their families. Your child’s current key worker will be able to support the transition. Did you know that when children transition between rooms we do our own transition maps to support their new keyworker in learning new information about them? By doing this we hope to ensure the smoothest transition.
Staff Member of the Month
This month Julie is our staff member of the month. Julie continuously goes above and beyond and works extremely hard. Julie is able to adapt to any age confidently. She is always planning ahead and even creating new and exciting activities at home to bring in for the children. Also, Julie went out of her way to arrange for the nursery to have the mayor and mayoress come and visit. Well done Julie and a huge thank you for all your hard work and outstanding practice.
Pre-School Harvest Festival
This year our Pre-School’s Harvest festival will take place on Wednesday 10th October 2:30pm at Lindale Methodist church, everybody is invited to join us. Throughout September the Pre-School children will be learning about what happens at Harvest time and about how fruit and vegetables are grown through stories, songs and activities. Our Harvest collection will start beginning of September. We will be collecting foods such as tinned food, packets and sauces. Unfortunately, we cannot take fresh foods to the church. Any donations will be appreciated.
Please can we remind all parents that nursery fees are due on the 1st of every month for that month. If you need any further information. Please see Hannah or Tracie is the office.
