Our Fun Filled Adventures
We have been having so many adventures and engaged in so many amazing learning opportunities. We have been out on the nursery bikes, on the walkodile and the babies have been out in the pram to. We especially enjoyed going to Lytham hall where we explored so many different things in our natural environment. Also we have engaged in forest school sessions and sports with our sister nurseries to.
Here at Lytham lodge we have some very special friends joining us throughout December, The Kindness Elves pop and sparkle who are magical friends who love nothing more than to sprinkle kindness and joy wherever they go. They have come to visit our children to spread happiness and kindness with the children, encouraging them to do small acts of kindness in their daily lives. Each week we will all engage in a kindness activity.
As of January 2019, nursery fees will be slightly increasing and for grant children will be worked out through our formula. By doing this is to ensure consistency of your fees, ensuring you pay the same figure per month. You will receive a letter regarding you new few amount, please ensure any voucher companies are informed and amend any standing orders or direct debits. The fee increase is there to help us to continue to develop the nursery at a high level to provide high quality resources for the children. So you are all aware, any parents needing any extra sessions, then we will try our best to accommodate these, any extra sessions must be paid when booking them.
Children of all ages enjoy and benefit from playing outdoors in all except the most extreme weather. Daily outdoor play is healthy and burns energy. It gives children an opportunity for a change of environment, a balance in play and routine, large muscle activities (gross-motor development). Even children who are mildly ill but active should go outside if the weather is not severe. Staff and children alike will feel refreshed when fresh air is part of the daily routine. Taking children outdoors daily, even in winter, can be a healthy part of their schedule, and is safe when clothing is appropriate. Now the weather is getting colder can you ensure that your child has a warm coat, hat, scarf and gloves.
