Lytham Lodge Newsletter – Autumn 2020

SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER 2020

Welcome back Everyone 😊

What is New at Nursery and Covid-19 Updates

As you may have seen on Facebook, we have been going back out on walks. We have planned our walks to only two locations at present under our phase one of outings, which means the risk of infection is kept to a minimum. The babies have especially enjoyed revisiting the animals at Lytham Hall, where Paddy the pig lives who we have recently signed up to adopt, where we will receive regular updates.

As the weather will begin to change and the Autumn months approach, we are asking all our parents to ensure all the children have the following each day:

  • Winter hat
  • Gloves
  • Scarves
  • Winter coats
  • Wellies

We are also asking all parents to ensure the children are wearing warmer clothes such as thermal jumpers, vests, trousers, cardigans, socks etc due to the fact the nursery will be continuing to keep all our windows open to ensure we have good ventilation coming into the rooms. This is to help continue keep the virus at bay as research shows poor ventilation in confined indoor spaces is associated with increased transmission of respiratory infections. We will also as normal continue to have some of our lessons outside such as our sport sessions and garden activities 😊

Welcome to new team members

Our nursery continues to grow and flourish with many new children beginning their journey here at Lytham Lodge Nursery. As our nursery grows so does our staff team. We would like to say a huge happy welcome to Lucy, Ruth, Lisa and Susan who have recently joined our nursery team. Then we would also like to say a big good luck to Shaneen as she takes a next step in her early years career, as she becomes our sister nursery Butterfly Lodges deputy manager, she will be truly missed be we know she will be amazing.

Harvest Celebrations

We will still be celebrating harvest at the end of September; our nursery activities and lessons plans will still be themed around harvest and Autumn. We will still be accepting donations of food which this year we will be donating to our local food bank.
