Clifton Lodge Newsletter November 2019

Clifton Lodge Pumpkin Competition Winners

Congratulations to Edie, Theo and Luca who are this year’s pumpkin competition winners. Well done to all the children who participated and brought in their carved pumpkins. They were all so amazing and everyone who entered will be receiving a special certificate. Keep a look out for our next competition coming soon.

Parents Evening

We would like to invite all parents to our parents evening on Thursday 21st November. We value the opinions of parents as you know your child best and by organising a parents evening throughout different times of the year it gives us as practitioners a chance to meet with you and discuss your child’s development over the past few months. The meetings are normally around 10-15 minutes and within this time we will discuss all about your child’s development and what we will be working on in the next upcoming months. It’s also a great time to find out if your child has any new interests or hobbies at home that would link in with our nursery activities. If you would like to book in a meeting, please see Anne or Danni in the office.

Children In Need

Children in need this year will be on Friday 15th November. We are inviting all the children to come in dressed up in anything spotty. Throughout the week we will be doing lots of fundraising activities such as a bake sale, sporting challenges and more!

Pre-School Nativity

The Pre-School children are very excited to be taking part in this year’s Christmas Nativity, which will take place at St Thomas Church on the Monday 16th December at 2.30pm – 3.00pm, and we would like to invite all our pre-school parents/carers to come along. Clifton Lodge will provide all the nativity costumes and if your child does not attend on this day please make sure they attend the church for 2pm if they would like to join the nativity play, thank you.

All parents/carers should have access to tapestry. If you are not able to log on or having trouble using the Tapestry app, please speak to Anne or Danni in the office. Tapestry is a great tool to see how you child is developing whilst at the setting. It is also a good communication tool, with parents being able to add what activities and adventures the children have been doing at the weekend.
