Butterfly Lodge Newsletter January 2019

Myself and the rest of the staff at Butterfly Lodge would like to welcome everyone back to nursery after the Christmas break. We hope you all had a lovely rest and are ready for an exciting 2019.

Applying For a Primary School

Please note the deadline to apply for your child’s primary school place for September 2019 is Tuesday 15th January 2019. Please follow the link below for more information

Christmas Fair

Thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas Fair. It was lovely to see so many families join us. We would like to thank the sponsors for their contributions to our raffle.

Chatterbox Challenge

We are asking if parents would like to make a Chatterbox with their child. The box could be a shoe box that has items in from home that the children will talk about with others. These boxes might contain a favourite book or photographs of loved ones. This activity will encourage and support communication and language.

Chinese New Year

This year is the year of the Pig and Chinese New Year falls on the 5th February. The children in the pre-school unit will be learning about Chinese New Year and will be taking part in many activities on this topic. Activities will encourage your child to use all of their senses; there will be creative, messy activities and food tasting to name but a few of them.

We have now teamed up with Tesco for our nursery uniform. If you would like to purchase nursery uniform, if you haven’t already done so please use the link provided https://www.tesco.com/direct/bluebell-lodge/24443.school There is a range of pre-school supplies you can purchase from nursery t-shirts, jumpers, trousers and skirts to nursery bags all with our nursery logo on.

Extra Session

Please can all parents note that any extra sessions that are required are to be booked in the office with Tracie. The session will need to be paid in advance before we can book any additional sessions. Thank you.
